“Crunchy Myelin” – The Story Behind the Name

The name of my blog, “Crunchy Myelin,” often piques curiosity. This name carries a multi-layered meaning. Firstly, “Myelin” refers to the protective sheath covering nerve cells, which is impacted in MS. As someone living with MS, the term “Myelin” holds significant importance to me.

But what about “Crunchy”? This word typically describes something crispy or brittle. Here, it serves as a metaphor for resilience and strength against life’s challenges and obstacles. Battling MS can sometimes be tough and distressing, but the strength and endurance gained in the process shouldn’t be overlooked.

Thus, “Crunchy Myelin” represents our ability to overcome life’s hurdles despite the challenges of living with MS. It also aims to draw attention to MS and raise awareness.

My blog is a platform for sharing the small joys, challenges, and triumphs we encounter in everyday life, alongside the experience of living with MS. “Crunchy Myelin” tells the story of my journey, struggles, and victories.
